German sheppard and boxer mix?

alright my sister has been begging to get a dog. my mom likes dogs and my dad relented and she got a german sheppard boxer mix. as i suspected she played with him for a week and got bored with him. my mom and dad dont really want anything to do with him and i am the only person who remembers to feed and water him. as such im also making it my responsibilty to train him. does anybody know much about how to train a mix like this? i dont have much experience with dogs but he seems like a smart dog and i dont mind spending a half hour or so a day trying to teach him. any help or pointers is greatly appreciated!

I have fought anxieties all my life and I know how miserable and embarred they can make you. What I do to try and control my fears is to learn everything I can about what I am fearing. You know, fireworks can be dangerous, so I suggest just watching at a safe distance, and you don't have to handle any. I myself have never been comfortable close to them cause I don't trust them, or most people who are handling them. A professional show is safe and that is what we go and do. Since you are obligated to be home, just say you want to enjoy from a safe distance-which is really smarter anyway. Sparklers and snakes and anything that just stays under control is safe and you will learn this when you research them. The worse that can happen is burning yourself by touching or stepping on an area that is still hot. The ones that shoot up or blow up, well I honestly think its safer to be away from them because they can shoot different that what the person expects. So your fear is justified in that case. The noise scares many people, but again, there is nothing that is going to hurt you from that. So learn about them, get in a position to watch where you feel safe and comfortable, and I think you will end up having fun. Best of luck to you, I know you can conquer this!!!

OK I was Fishing tonight by myself in my hometown Sacramento, California On south river road. I got there around six pm and it was still day light, well i walked up the road to see if i could find a spot with some firewood i must have walked a mile before i found a spot in the river where you wont get snagged on a tree because the river is really high rite now so its kind of hectic out there so i found a spot and fished for a while and it started to get dark so i snagged my line i went to rig my pole again and i looked in my bag and i had no more hooks so i pack up and start walking back. well every thing was fine i some cars ped and Evan though i didn't have a flash light I m not afraid to walk a little while back to my car you know nothing should be out there. So i walk for a while and I start to hear this buzzing noise and as i get closer i seemed to get louder!!! well i didn't pay that much attention at first but all of the sudden my ears started hurting and i could feel my whole body vibrating!!!!! I just dropped my stuff and my body just let out a the most frightening sound I think i have ever made And i have never felt so freaked out in my life!! I'm still freaked out here OK. When i got up close to it i thought i saw something and i just felt panicked so i threw everything on the ground,my fishing pole, my Ryobi sander pouch i use as a tackle box, My plastic bag with sardines and smokes. I was so scared i ran the fastest i have ever ran in my life. it was dark and i was hoping it wasn't anything extraterrestrial or anything. Well anyways I jogged or ran stopping suddenly from time to time to see if i could hear any footsteps or anything behind me, well i get to this gated driveway wand there's a sign that says Feeport pump station so i call a cab.... and i try to tell them without it seeming like I'm crazy but they had me take a pic of my drivers license and i told them if the driver came out i would give him twenty bucks and the dispatcher asked me if i used drugs and I don't. I'm perfectly sane and drug free. he had told me about people crank calling on Friday and Saturday nights well i finally got him to send out a unit. the unit gets there and i tell him as i get into the car the story and had him stop to see if my fishing pole was still in the road but it was gone and my tackle bag was too. i found my plastic bag of anchovies with smokes still in them and bait i should have had the cab driver wait and listen with me but i didn't want him to think i am crazy. so i take him to my a.t.m because they don't have card sliders and he was pretty cool. well he took me back to my car after i gave him the twenty bucks and i got in my car and drove slowly the other way to see if i could hear it but i couldn't So i think it was something paranormal or an animal or a animal deterrent. my ears still hurt and i will never forget that sound it was ultra sonic. I am going back tomorrow to investigate and i will rip down anything i see that looks like a animal deterrent people just cant put them on the road like that. Id like to know who wrote that law. i looked online for animal repellent devices and all of them say humans cant hear the noise, well i guess i have some kind of special hearing ability................... Wiring a workshop for lighting and outlets.?

I just had a 100 amp sub-panel run to my workshop. The electrician gave me a gfi courtesy outlet and that is it. I would like to run all of the wiring from this point myself. The walls are open and the studs are exposed. The work shop is 16 feet wide by 30 feet deep. It is an old single car garage that lost its power source 10 years ago. How many florescent light fixtures, should I put in it? Any idea how many outlets I should use and how many circuits I should use for power and lighting (I ume at least three)? The workshop will be used for lite wood working and storage, my main interest is gardening/landscaping, so most of the woodworking would be for stuff around the garden. It is a big place and I am lucky to have it and I would like to get it right after going through the expense of having the conduit run, etc. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I am totally intrigued with this area in the Bible/history. I have always understood that Angels were male. I am not sure if you could consider them as human as they are Angels. Why would you stay. There is a lot of ways for you to get funding for college so stop using the fact that your dad is a loser to keep you from going. Your dad is a loser and a horrible parent to play extreme favorites with you and your siblings. Where is your mother in all of this. There is something that has caused your dad to act like this. I don't think he deserves a chance to do right by you, but I think you deserve to know why he has chosen to treat you like dog doo. You may never get an answer sometimes that is just how it goes but you should try to have a mature discussion with him about how much pain it has caused you over the years, how scared you felt not having enough for food and clothes. How incompetent you feel when he shows no concern for you and how extremely unfair and dysfunctional it is treat your daughter like a red-headed step child. Also, to not have spoke to your siblings for 8 years in the time frame of your ages while living together is not healthy. Certainly you should try to find something in common with her and attempt to repair this division. It may be too late if she is so spoiled and thinks of you as a red-headed step sister who deserves nothing too, but you should still try. I say continue to live there rent free and get a pell grant or something to help you get started in school. Let your other family members know that your dad is not telling them the truth. Maybe you can live with one of them while going to college or see if they can help you out even just a little bit. This may be your ticket out or may prompt them to make your dad take proper care of you. Either way you have to move forward with your life and going to college now is what is going to help you get a proper start to building your future and regardless of your family, you are going to have to be the one who makes it happen for you. HRT is not expensive. My drug-plan co-pay is $15.00. A month of estrogen is $22.00. Spiro is also cheap. Aetna, Cigna, and GHI have transition-inclusive policies, but they are only offered through employers. The thing is, most of the top surgeons don't take insurance (yet.) The insurance companies don't reimburse them enough for the procedure. What I find to be the killer is electrolysis. I spend between $500-$600 a month on it. How can I get rid of a cartilage piercing infection?

I also got my cartilage pierced with a gun. Only I went to Claires. So Im not even going to judge or make any comments about that. Cartilage is just reallly difficult to heal no matter how you get it pierced. It took mine about a year to fully heal up, and even now it still occasionally hurts me. During this time of healing you can get infections super easy, or just irritated. I dont think yours is a full blown infection yet since it isnt oozing. However, Im proud that you are trying to take care of it. What worked with mine was to use the cleaner that they gave me. When mine ran out I just purchased a small container of non iodized sea salt from the grocery store. It was like 4 bucks much cheaper than the piercing places's solution. I put a teaspoon of the salt in a shot gl of hot water. and I dipped a cotton ball into the mixture and held it on my ear. The salt reduced swelling and redness and helped dry up the infection. Dont take it out. Taking it out will just irritate it more, and its unnessacary. Just avoid bumping it around and sleeping on it. And clean it 3 times a day. and youlll be fine. Good luck

I have a question...someone I know commited suicide by shooting themselves with a shotgun to the heart. How is this possible.If you know the length of a shutgun, then you see why I am puzzled. There is more to the story..he was an accused child molester...so it leaves the door open for suicide but I suspect murder as well...because the police did not investigation..it was open/closed...and the coroner report actually states that he was dead by a self inflicted gunshot wound to the heart, however were unable to determine how he did it? I have been trying to get pregnant for 16 months. At a year I started getting tests done by my OBGYN to see why I have been unsuccessful. Well I got an HSG test done and she said my right tube looked fine and that there might be a tiny bit of a blockage but that my left tube looked blocked towards the very end of it but even though it was block, the ink went into my ovary. So she did a hysteroscopy yesterday and she said she could not find any scar tissue, cysts, or anything and they looked open. I am like how can they be blocked if the ink went through? Well I think I am not ovulating. I had 14 day cycles before I went on the pill and after that I consistently had 18 day cycles. Well I started taking vitex and now my cycles are 24 days long. Well I test for ovulation every month. I have a $300 OPK monitor and I take my temp every morning and I check my CP. And NOTHING points to ovulation. I never once got a peak ovulation, my temp is always low and my cervix is always low. So I know I don't ever ovulate. Well she is adamant that she thinks I do ovulate and that I ovulate when I bleed and that's why I had a period twice a month. So she wont give me clomid and just referred me to a specialist. So should I go to a new doctor and see what they think or should I just go to the specialist and run more tests?

I'm sorry that you had such an awful labour the first time round. An epidural is a fine hollow needle inserted into the space in your spinal cord in your lower back. Then a catheter is inserted inside the needle (a smaller hollow tube to carry the anaesthetic to your lower body to numb your body from the waist down). You must be in established labour to have an epidural (from 3cm dilation). The epidural can only be given by an anaesthetist. An epidural can wear off during the labour only if you want it to, otherwise you will have it topped up when you start to feel it wearing off. It takes about 20-30 minutes to administer an epidural and you must sit with your back tilted over so that it can be given. Pain relief is then usually immediate. Hope this helps and good luck.

Is it okay for a dogs urine to be clear and odorless?

What's wrong with my lemon meringue cupcakes?

The recipe says to put some cake mixture into the case, then a dollop of lemon curd then cover with more cake mixture. They come out fine and tastes divine BUT by the time the cupcakes have cooled, the cake has separated from the case .which makes it look awful. I've tried different recipes, adding more flour, putting more cake mixture (which has helped a little) but the problem is still there. Do you have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong. Glitter embellishment on cards?

I love playing with glitter and bought some cheap Christmas cards and have tried using glitter glue as embellishment. The cards came out terrible. I tried the glue straight out of the tube and it came out too thick and the constant squeezing hurt my hand. I tried spreading it on thin using a clean make up applicator. That looked even worse and the card dried wrinkled like wet paper. Regular elmers glue and dry glitter goes on too thick for what I want. Old Christmas cards from around the 70's, or earlier, used to have a light, thin, coating of silver glitter that looked beautiful. The glitter was very fine, and you could see the card detail under it. How can I get the same effect? I would love to hear any advice on this. Thank you so much.

Dog ate piece of rawhide bone?

if he is eating and drinking and relieving himself then everything should be ok. just watch for signs of stomach discomfort. laying around being lethargic, not eating etc. the rawhide bones are meant for chewing. its dehydrated bleached skin basically. it will breakdown in his belly eventually. most dogs have no trouble digesting it if its used as a treat or is hardly ever swallowed. you cant use it as nutrients or food substitute which you havent so its fine. the main concern is rawhides dehydrating the dog bc of their sodium content. make sure he has plenty of fresh water over the next few days. rawhides can splinter off as they breakdown and cause injury internally but as i said its very rare. my dog eats them like cheetos! good luck

Sometimes it can be wrong. With my third son I was told he was going to be over 10lb and he was only 7lb 10oz when he was born. I asked why and was told it was because of the length of his legs. They measure from the hip to the knee, then down to the ankle and based on the length, the computer then gives an estimated weight. My son was 64cm long in total. This was the explanation I was given when I asked. I hope I haven't confused you!! lol

What to do to entertain two young children inside the house?

The family dog has had a litter of pups and well to say the least she is useless so we are having to monitor her at all times, with my mum sitting up all through the night and then I take over during the day while she sleeps. For those who are croissant experts or bakers, PLEASE HELP!!?

okay, i am a young keen cook, i really try to cook and bake as much as possible, but there is one problem, i cannot make the perfect croissant. i have tried at least 10 times but all has not gone well on any of them. so i'll explain how i compete to make the perfect cressent roll: first of all, i weigh out 500g of plain flour, 2 level tsp salt, 1 tsp of dried yeast, 1/3 cup of sugar, 1/ 1/2 cup of whole milk, i mix together and wrap, i then beat 500 er with 2 tbsp flour and wrap it up and put it in the fridge to rest overnight, then i roll out the dough, and put the er in the centre and wrap te dough over the er. i roll it out and put the dough in the fridge to sit for 1-2 hours, i take it out and roll it, but there are cracks on the edge of the dough. i then do the famous single turn and put it back in the fridge for 1hour. then i take it out and rool it out quite thin but after all that chilling there is still er getting through the dough, i then do a double turn and split it into 2 halves and roll it, cut it into triangles, but i can't leanthen them, as they would easily tear, anyway i roll them tight into the croissant shape and let them rest on a baking tray in a turned off oven for about 2 hrs. i egg wash then and put them in the oven on 200 degrees and them bake for 10-15 mins. i take them out and i found the the er has melted and the croissants and baking tray are greasy. what am i doing wrong????

2005 ford mustang stuck in limp mood. My check engine light came on and it said it was the throttle body so I ?

Took off the throttle body and cleaned it. I also cleaned the maf. some where I made a mistake and it caused this problem. I didn't know what position the erfly valve should be in so I tried to adjust it while the engine was on. I did this by taking off the black dust cap and turning the metal piece in there on the left side of the throttle body . It was after doing this I noticed the wrench and limp mode. I thought it was due to me ruining the tps by turning the valve so I replaced that but the car is still in limp mood. I believe that it might be the motor thing on the left side of the throttle body but I don't even know what that thing is or what it does. Also, I think that maybe the maf could have been damaged during cleaning. Any and all comments would be appreciated.

So when I hear Reverend Wright speak in such hateful terms in plain English, I question who is actually widening that chasm he speaks about? Was it really one isolated sermon that Obama did not attend in the two decades that he has been a member of the church and how can he not be influenced? I too come from a tough background growing up in a poor neighborhood to a mother on welfare and an abusive alcoholic stepfather, and last time I checked, race played no part in my cirstances as a child. So help me understand the black experience because it sure plays a big role in this election when Obama makes speeches regarding race. I agree that we need change in Washington but it cannot just be a top down movement. It must be a social movement of dialogue and action that begins in the homes, schools, and churches and all topics must be on the table, not just rhetoric of change that sways votes. There are many people that like to complain about our country but it is our responsibility to make it ours, to take ownership, and be stewards of what we were given. oh okay well I just wanted to know if you wanted to hangout today, but since your having a BBQ guess not. She responded with Oh do you want to come over? Now I took I little longer to respond because I was thinking "am I going to meet her parents?" Well I responded because I know women want a confident man, with Sure and she said okay cool. Now I was so nervous getting to the front door because I didn't know what to expect I didn't know if this was a meet the parents or just coming over so I put on some shorts and a nice t-shirt because I wasn't sure what was meant by this. I rang the door bell and she answered and said come on in. He mother is a photographer and her stepdad works with computers. So I walked in on her mother just finishing up a photo shoot so I was a little over whelmed with the extra people who were rushing out the door. She didn't really introduce me so I shook each parents hand on my own and introduced myself just so it wouldn't be awkward. We ended up sitting outside and talking alot about their three dogs whom they love dearly. good thing I knew I few things about dogs and had grown up around dogs. well I am pretty nervous at this point but I am keeping my cool because her parents are pretty cool people. Now what threw me off was when her mother said I am going inside to start making dinner and as her mother left so did she so it was just me and the dad sitting outside exchanging stories and questions it wasn't to bad we seemed to get along pretty well but this is when I was trying to listen so there would be not awkward silence after about a half hour of talking we were about to go in and I just finished it of with oh wheres your bathroom and he said its inside down the hall seconded door on your left. I made it through the "interview" or what I was getting confused about. Now it was getting a little chilly so we ended up staying inside and her mother was then "interviewing" me with questions and I would respond and then ask a question of my own, although the girl was there too. (lucky the dogs loved me haha). anyway we ended up sitting down and eating dinner with her mother and stepdad I was just so nervous I really didn't eat that much basically because I couldn't and I usually am a good eater so I forced food down my throat so I wouldn't offend them even though the food was really really good. So after dinner we were cleaning up and I know to bring my dishes to the sink and be a good guessed and thank them for a delicious dinner, when I was getting ready to say well thanks again I hope to do this again sometime, when her mother said (before I could say anything) why don't you guys watch a movie. So we ended up playing a quick game of jenga and then watching twilight. during the movie she started to lean closer to me and our elbows were touching and I really wanted to make a move to go further but I still wasn't sure if she like me as more then a friend and I didn't want to screw up a an evening that was going so well. I might have f(*&k up at that point but right as I would have made a move her phone rang and she oh its my aunt let me get this, she was talking to her aunt and they started talking I could hear what her aunt was saying and I heard the aunt say what are you doing and she responded with oh nobody and she said well I can her him talking and she then said oh its just a friend, the aunt then said well is it a possible boy friend? The girl got up and walked away to the kitchen to continue her conversation as she laugh and said oh no your crazy aunt marry in an embarred laugh like I wasn't supposed to hear that. I started thinking why would her aunt ask if it was a possible boy friend because I figured she had been talking about me and her mother then told the aunt about it so I was a little confused but I didn't want to ume anything. Anyway when she came back she ended up sitting on the end of the love sofa while I was on the other and there was no more leaning. I went back home and my roommates asked me where have you been? I told them I went to the girls house and had dinner and met the parents. They all started saying oh did you kiss her man. I said no it didn't feel right and they said dude this chick likes you, you met her parents. I was still a little skeptical about it but they continued to say she likes you man she does. Come March my b-day she texted me while I was in another cl Happy Birthday. I was surprised cause nun of my friends texted me they just posted it on my facebook page (oh at the time we are facebook friends) well I was thinking why didn't she just post it on my wall? My lizards viv smells funny! HELP?

I've got a new viv for my lizard, it's 4 foot and I've had it for about 4-7 weeks now but we've notice its smelling funny (Not lizard poop smell) but an odd smell and the roof is really hot. We have a new light fitting, it's not plastic or anything but it's white and hard, my brother got me it as he said it's better but I think it's getting too hot near the wires and its the wires I can smell, I don't know what to do as I have no idea about fittings and my lizard needs heat. I keep telling my brother about it and he says its fine but my Viv's have never smelt this way before (I've had a 2 foot, 3 foot and this is a 4 foot) please help

i did a bit of research on this, i questioned the velocity loss from a cartridge shot from a revolver due to the cylinder gap. from all my research (done on the internet) it doesn't seem to matter or there is very little loss. if you watch a slow motion film of a semi-auto you will see the projectile leaves the barrel before any gas escapes or any movement of the slide.. i agree with the one percent or less loss of velocity.

I just read Dead Until Dark (I got it for Christmas) and I couldn't believe how similar it was to the Twilight series. My dog growled at me.... :(?

My husky growls at me all the time. When he's chewing on his rawhide and I "play" take it off of him, or when I grab him and tackle him and play with him, but he would NEVER growl in an aggressive manner. Maybe he was just play growling. If not, and this continues, then he might be getting what's called food aggression. To solve this, start by taking his food and hand feeding him pieces, putting your hands in the dish while he's eating, taking the rawhide off of him, pretending to chew on it (I know it sounds ridiculous) and giving it back to him. All these little things will show him that you want to share his food, and you're not going to take it from him.

If I were you I would counter with Crawford in place of Wainright. Crawford is roughly 30 and a speed guy. He will slow down and in fact has been over the past few years. Just look at his steals total. He is a very good player still but not as good as Wainright. Wainright is arguably the best pitcher on one of the best teams in the National league. He led the National league in wins last year and should have a bunch in the next few years. Also the Cardinals have him locked up for several years so it is doubtful he will end up in the less pitcher friendly American League.
