There was a thing in the toilet that looked like a pink shoelace that came out of me?

this happend after my boyfriend and I had during my menses. It was really long and thick and so i was kind of disturbed and grossed out by this. can anyone tell me what the heck it was? I am not in any pain or anything, I feel normal, no fever.
