I am I right or wrong ?

I haven't seen my in-laws for about 5 years because they were abusive, My hub & kids see them once a week. My sister-in-law is getting married in 2 weeks and when we first found out I agreed that he should take the kids. It's now transpired that they have been verbally invited to the reception only and we are the only part of the family not to have received an invitation which I think shoud have been sent even though I probably would have signed the card and not gone anyway. Now it feels like my husband is accepting that I have not been invited and is willing to go anyway. He doesn't seem to think there is anything wrong with this yet I see it as another personal attack from his sister. I have never done anything to is family and my hub never supported me when they did. He was quite glad when I stopped going to see them as it mean't he didn't have to bother about the trouble anymore. Am I over-reacting?
