I think I ruined a good friendship b/c I'm crushing on him.?

I recently went through a break up in a long-term relationship. Unfortunately I am crushing on a very good guy friend. I had a saucy dream of him and told him. We both thought it was funny. He said it was a great dream. He gave very subtle hints of interest by comparing our compatibily via horoscope and joked about tolerating my annoying qualities. However I am the one contacting him more than he is me. And when I try to lead the convo. towards a more flirty side...sometimes he jokes back, sometimes he does not. I asked him to call when he wasn't studying and he didn't respond. So I played it off but I fear I put him in an uncomfortable position. Not sure what to do. Hope I didn't ruin a good thing :(
