Ok so i need to go to guatemala in a emergency but i let my pport expire is there a way i can go???

i ofcourse am american steel, but my moms from guate and i was gonna go earlier this year but never felt like it and now i need to go in a emergency and i looked at my pport and found out it was expired so i wanted to know if theres a way that i can go or if theres something i can do in order to go becasue to do it legitimently its gonna take a while??? please help also i am from chicago so hich number would i have to call???? in order to request an appointment inorder to renew my pport errr????
