How can i make a model car with working LED lights?

I have purchased a scale model car 1:24 scale, i want it to have working headlights, turn signals, taillights and brake lights. I am planing on using LED's for all of those functions. Does any body know how to wire them? How to make the turn signals blink? Can i use a remote control instead of a switch? So i can just hit a ons, and the lights would start working? Also has anybody ever made a model car that is an electric R/C car?
