Dog ate piece of rawhide bone?

if he is eating and drinking and relieving himself then everything should be ok. just watch for signs of stomach discomfort. laying around being lethargic, not eating etc. the rawhide bones are meant for chewing. its dehydrated bleached skin basically. it will breakdown in his belly eventually. most dogs have no trouble digesting it if its used as a treat or is hardly ever swallowed. you cant use it as nutrients or food substitute which you havent so its fine. the main concern is rawhides dehydrating the dog bc of their sodium content. make sure he has plenty of fresh water over the next few days. rawhides can splinter off as they breakdown and cause injury internally but as i said its very rare. my dog eats them like cheetos! good luck
