History Textbook. I need one that is balanced and accurate. Any suggestions?

I am very interested in history/humanities and prefer a text(s) that are balanced in their historical accounts. What I mean by balanced is that the book will not emphasize on a few certain parts of history. Suggestions for combined volumes are welcome here. I love the in depth stuff as well. So, if you know of any that are separated by each, individual continent I will be happy. Western Civ. oriented stuff I am trying to avoid....(or Euro centered, same thing).
