What is on a plastic bag that my cat likes so much?

My cat is compulsively obsessed with plastic bags. Like ones from stores? He'll sit there for half an hour just licking it obsessively and chewing it and stuff. And you just can NOT get him away from it. I was just wondering if anyone knew maybe what's ON that bag or if your cat does it to.
