Will we ever be able to shrink people down with technology ?

It's impossible on the practicle scale to just shoot a shrink ray at somebody so that they become smaller because atoms do not shrink. Instead you would teleport someone to decrease their size by making a machine scafold their initial position, decrease the size and then synthesize them throught the new machine. Such in Willy Wonka, the cowboy kid was shot on camera, his body was flown in particles above the air and he appeared on the television in a smaller size. Pretty much that is what can explain shrinking people down. I guess this is how teleportation would work like, except with no change in size, you have wires that conduct the particles of the person being teleported. It's like E-mail, where our mail is broken into several packets and re-empled on the other side.
